7 Days Arunachal Itinerary: Escape to Land of Dawn-Lit Mountains

Day-1:

Arrival at Guwahati. Drive to Bhalukpong (Approx 5-6 hours). Enroute scenic views & river crossings. Evening at leisure near Kameng River. Night stay at Bhalukpong.

Best Time to visit: October to April (for snow)

March to June (Pleasant Weather)

Day-2:

Drive from Bhalukpong to Dirang (6-7 hours). Visit Dirang Dzong (Old Fort Village), Hot Water Spring,Dirang Monastery and Sangti Valley. Night stay at Dirang.

Day-3:

After Breakfast travel from Dirang to Tawang Via Sela Pass(13,700 ft). Visit Sela Lake,Jung waterfall and Jaswant Garh Memorial. Night Stay at Tawang.

Day-4:

Entire Day Tawang Sightseeing. Visit Tawang Monastry (India Largest and Asia's 2nd Largest Monastry), Urgelling Gompa, Buddha Statue, Local Market. Experience evening show at Tawang War Memorial. Night Stay at Tawang.

After breakfast excursion to Bum La Pass (15,200 ft) and Madhuri Lake (Shungetser Lake). Enjoy snow views (seasonal) and experience Indo-China Border. Night Stay at Tawang.

Day-5:

Day-6:

After breakfast travel from Tawang to Bomdila via Sela Tunnel (longest bi-lane tunnel in the world at 13000 ft). On the way visit Bomdila Monastery,Apple Orchid (seasonal). Night stay at Bomdila.

Return drive to Guwahati (7-8 hours). Drop at Airport/ Railway Station.
